HEALTH BENEFITS OF POMEGRANATE

pomegranate….the word itself attracts so many people!! I m sure its favourite fruit of some of the people reading this!!

pomegranate is considered to be the most healthiest food. Not only the fruit itself but the leaves and stem of pomegranate tree is also beneficial. This fruit is considered to cure most deadliest diseases. Pomegranate is also known as the POWER FRUIT because of its uncountable benefits.

Pomegranate contains vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E and folic acid. It has antioxidants, antiviral and antitumor properties. we can intake this fruit in its natural form or can make juice of it. Regular intake of pomegranate juice regulates the flow of blood. This is because pomegranate makes blood thin and prevents the blood clots. This property reduces this risk of heart attack and strokes.

The antioxidant property save the artery valves from the damage caused by free radicals. It reduces the valve cluster. The intake of this fruit also reduces the joints pain. It stops the growth of enzymes which damage the cartilage. These enzymes damage the connective tissues of body and increase the joints pain.

Pomegranate is a very good appetizer. Due to fibre contents it improves our digestion. It is not only effective in diarrhoea and dysentery but also is very helpful in ulcer treatment. It destroys the cancer cells particularly prostate cancer, skin cancer, lung cancer and breast cancer.

Pomegranate helps to increase iron in blood. High content of vitamin C strengthens the immune system and protects the body from diseases caused due to infection. People having weak immune system always get cough and cold easily. These people should regularly intake pomegranate juice. It also helps in reducing the irritation and pain caused to coughing.
